A deluge of pet hates from Gary Millar (aka Victor Meldrew) today :

1) Cigarette stubs on our streets - get them in the bin!

2) Self appointed critics who haven't actually seen the programme/art/show they want banned.

3) People who don't vote and still feel they have the right to complain/whinge about the state of the city/country.

4) Disabled Parking Badges displayed when its obvious the athletic scally or doorman type driver is perfectly healthy.

5) Culture Vultures who only raise their head once every 2008 years when they think there's money available for their "Mozart inspired paint-a-thon slash theatre-in-a-toilet-cubicle angst drama".

6) Buses idling for hours in Water Street, two abreast and causing gridlock during the badly named rush-hour.

7) The new traffic congestion making systems in Tithebarn Street, Water Street, The Strand, Lime Street and just about anywhere where the big dig has already finished.

Spoilt for choice today, as I totally agree with all of Gary's offerings. However, after much deliberation I think I'll have to go for number 7. You would imagine the plan would be to improve traffic flow in the city centre but in fact all 'they' have done is make things much worse - surely it's only temporary and they're just having a laugh! In the bin it goes.....
